Early Treatment

Early Treatment

As one MS client put it, “Until the cure comes, our primary focus should be to make ourselves feel good.”

Being in much denial that there was something seriously wrong with me, I did follow the advice of  the Neurologist who diagnosed me and began a 5 day succession of heavy duty steroid infusions of Solumedrol IV. This was an attempt to regain my eyesight, so I was willing to try most anything at that point. As painful and traumatic a procedure as this is, I had much support from friends and previous clients. This support helped give me the strength to endure the invasiveness of the treatment and the side affects it cause. The MOST important affect was the reduction of inflammation around my optic nerve that assisted my sight to return. For this, I am truly grateful and honored that the modern Medical profession was there for me. Only twice, have I had the need to take these drastic of measures, and for this I am eternally grateful.

I became the patient of Marlene Bair, MAOM, LAC seeing her weekly for Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture treatments to help process the steroids efficiently. Marlene's diverse knowledge of Acupuncture and the Healing Arts continues to help me find a sense of balance in my ever fluctuating body functions and supports my low immune system.
